Programs


Join ROCK's nurturing base of 130 volunteers today! All of ROCK's ongoing youth development programs are volunteer-based and emphasize a community and collaborative approach.

Volunteer Requirements

  1. Love working with children and know that you want to spend quality time with them and build positive relationships!
  2. Complete the attached Volunteer Registration form and fax it to the ROCK Business Office at 415-333-4031.
  3. After completing Step 2, ROCK will send to you a finger print card in the mail to obtain background clearance, as required by San Francisco Unified School District.
  4. Attend a ROCK Volunteer Training session. You will be notified when upcoming sessions will occur.

ROCK’s programs are designed to foster the building of relationships between volunteers and the children as well as amongst the children themselves. ROCK volunteers are asked to sign up for a minimum number of sessions during a program so that children can depend on consistent and trusted adults being present.
