FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
BAY AREA COMPANIES "GO FOR GOOD" TO RAISE
FUNDS FOR AT-RISK YOUTH
Citywide high-tech scavenger hunt with a twist
in San Francisco on May 19
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (March 26, 2007) - Bay Area corporations
will compete head to head in a high-tech scavenger hunt
throughout the streets of San Francisco on Saturday,
May 19th, 2007. Co-sponsored by Real Options for City
Kids (ROCK), AngelPoints, Inc. and The Go Game, the
Go for Good Corporate Urban Adventure Challenge will
raise funds for at-risk children in San Francisco's
Visitacion Valley.
Armed with a video-capable cell phone and a digital
camera, teams such as Joie de Vivre Hospitality, will
be tasked to complete missions and riddles, some of
which involve the children of ROCK, and take pictures
as proof of their accomplishments. At the end of the
day, voting will take place based on the digital proofs
(creativity counts) and a Go for Good champion will
be declared.
"This partnership is a win not only for our clients,
but for many corporations across various industries",
said Andrew Mercy, CEO of AngelPoints, Inc. "It
provides three ingredients central to their community
involvement strategies - support for an important cause,
team-building and fun --- plus it adds a healthy dose
of competition. This event will be a terrific entry
point for employees who want to get more involved in
the community."
Go for Good will bring together a wide range of Bay
Area corporations and will provide a forum for team-building,
good will in the community and networking. At the conclusion
of the event, corporations will have the opportunity
to not only learn about one another, but to speak with
the children involved in ROCK's programs. Curt Yagi,
Executive Director of ROCK said, "We wanted to
provide a forum to expose corporations to San Francisco's
youth and feel this is the perfect opportunity."
Go for Good costs $5,000 per corporation and includes
2 teams of up to 8 people each. The entry fee includes
t-shirts, banquet admission and media opportunities.
